RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Dan Michael, a seasoned finance executive and CPA with more than 20 years of experience in Fortune 500 corporate finance and business segment controllership, joins global security consulting firm IEM as Chief Financial Officer. Based in IEM’s Research Triangle Headquarters office, Mr. Michael will oversee corporate financial and accounting operations, with a focus on optimizing strategic performance, enhancing data-driven decision making, and maintaining financial excellence as the company continues to grow domestically and internationally.

Formerly the Vice President of Finance for Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Michael has broad expertise in all aspects of financial management and specializes in providing business intelligence to support organizational growth and improved operating performance. He has built business analysis and enterprise-wide reporting and analytics functions from the ground up, using insight provided by these functions to guide strategic corporate decisions. His work in this area earned a former employer Computerworld’s “Business Intelligence Integrator of the Year” award.
Throughout his career, Mr. Michael has successfully advanced business strategies, optimized financial planning and forecasting, and driven strong cost management. He has supported the evolution of service enterprises into market leaders, directly supporting the growth of one government services division from $100 million to $1 billion. He has a track record of building high-performance financial teams that are viewed as key business partners within the organization.
