DomPrep Goes Mobile

The 2011 Readership Survey revealed that more than 75 percent of DomPrep readers use smartphones as an integral part of their daily lives (with an additional 8 percent planning to purchase smartphones in the near future). These results spurred the design team to create a mobile edition of DomesticPreparedness.com to simplify the browsing experience for these busy, on-the-go practitioners. The benefit to readers is that featured top stories and calendar of events will be simpler and faster to access on the go, with a link to the full site for those who prefer more in-depth searches and additional content.  Of course, one great benefit of the mobile edition is that no login or password is required to view featured articles!

The new edition of DomesticPreparedness.com is designed for modern smartphones, and will look and function best on the following platforms:

  • iOS (iPhone) 4 and higher
  • Android OS 2.2.3 and higher
  • Blackberry OS 6 and higher

To access the mobile edition from your smartphone, simply type http://www.domesticpreparedness.com into your phone’s web browser and you will be automatically redirected. Make sure to bookmark the page and add a shortcut to your home screen for even faster access!  If you have any issues with or comments about the mobile edition, please feel free to contact DomPrep’s office.
